For those of you who may not know, the reason I finally stepped out of education after 28 years was so that I could fully commit to helping communities improve mental health and wellbeing outcomes.
When I initially set up a Community Mental Health Action Team in my own town the ability to:
Achieve great results
Get access to funding and
Improve mental health and wellbeing outcomes through common sense solutions
was significant. It became so apparent to me that this is how we should be doing things!
We don't have to wait for solutions to present themselves. We can take the strengths that already exist within our communities and create the solutions ourselves.
I am often asked what is involved in the process of improving mental health across communities? So I thought what better way to show you than to create a short video series explaining the framework and the 4 stages involved in the process.
This is the first video in my series "A Framework For Community Mental Health Explained". During this video I introduce the framework and give an overview of all of the stages in the process.
You can access each of the following videos in the series on my You Tube channel Playlist: The Framework For Communities Explained
which explain each of the individual stages in detail. These include the Foundational Stage, Initial Steps, Action Planning & Momentum. This can be helpful in the following ways:
Whether you're a mental health advocate, community leader, or simply passionate about making a difference in this space…
This video offers valuable insights into the transformative potential of the framework in promoting mental health and wellbeing on a broader scale.
